2015: Our best year yet
This past year was Krownlab’s best yet. We released a brand new product in Ragnar, featuring the industry’s most comprehensive feature set, and took on two massive hotel projects. We were profiled by Portland Made and featured in their new book. We continued our collaboration with the award-winning Studio 804 and our sliding door hardware appeared in four Street of Dreams houses. And, as always, we were blown away by all your beautiful installations. We loved the photos you sent in; keep them coming! Here is a tour of some of the best (corresponding photos clockwise from top left):
The Forum by Studio 804. The Oden system with huge doors that serve as pinup boards for student work. Honorable Mention for Architect’s Newspaper Building of the Year Award.
Studio 804 has been a great partner for us over the last couple of years. They are a thoughtful, innovative, award-winning architecture cohort within the Masters of Architecture program at the University of Kansas. We can’t wait to collaborate in 2016!
Laguna Beach residence by Ryan Singer Design. The Rob Roy system with solid wood doors with glass inserts.
Ryan Singer, an amazing architect and designer in the Los Angeles area, used the simple, iconic Rob Roy hardware with these show-stopper custom doors.
The Joinery’s new downtown Portland showroom. The Baldur system with stunning live edge door panels.
When the Joinery converted their downtown pop-up space into a permanent storefront for their luxury furniture, they chose the Baldur sliding door system for all their signature slab door panels.
Plaza del Toro’s Portland restaurant. The Axel system with an oversized, reclaimed fire door.
This Axel system was customized by Rob Roy, our dear friend and the namesake and maker of Krownlab’s very first product.
The Sandhill Crane House, Street of Dreams. Garrison Hullinger Interior Design was the first to use our revolutionary new sliding door system.
We were blown away by the positive reception of Ragnar during the Street of Dreams with hundreds of people requesting more information on the game-changing system.
